It is really quite unbelievable that I have two friends with exactly the same birth date in July(23rd)! One just turned 50 and the other turned 70. Both are very dear friends to me. Both are so alike in many ways - quiet, unassuming, sensible, tenderhearted and gentle. Through both of them I can learn much of being the kind of person that the Bible teaches us. I wrote a short one line in a card to my 50 year old friend [this describes you... the beauty of the inner self, the unfading beauty of a quiet and gentle spirit, this is of great worth in GOD's sight] and a much longer piece for my 70 year old friend. [see below] Like my younger friend (who doesn't look 50 but rather 35!!!!) we will need to work towards godliness and Christ-likeness. Thank GOD that He is patient with us and He will help to mould us to be the person He wants us to be. I will certainly reflect on this; and be reminded that I need to check on my progress. Thank GOD there is someone to model it for me.
