This last week saw the completion of the fifth cycle with Velcade injections on 10th and 13th Sep. Again, we experience God’s provision of mercy as Li Leng did not have the nausea and diarrhea. She is still tired and her muscles ache badly – back and ribcage and now the calves and thighs too and this make uninterrupted sleep difficult at times. She is still not walking as before but still she is better than the last prayer update with less breathlessness. Thank you all for interceding for us in prayer. We are reminded that God in His faithfulness hears our cries and delivers us from our trouble. Indeed, “the LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.” Ps 145:18. And thanks for your many words and messages of encouragement – Truly, “Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones” Prov 16:24.
Tomorrow, she begins the sixth cycle (the fourth Velcade cycle). A complete blood test will be done tomorrow for M-Band and other indicators. Please join us in praying.
Thanksgiving to God for sustaining us.
Lighter side effects from the treatment this week – no nausea, diarrhea, digestion problems, severe muscle aches and fatigue.
Strength to walk and appetite to eat.
Sleep at night.
We are praying for God’s mercy to be shown in taking away the myeloma and an indication for the M-Band to be zero.
Restore our souls. (She is weary from the constant pain).
God to be glorified in our circumstance.
Li Leng’s mom (Mdm Tan Siew Ching – a member of our Chinese congregation) who is living with us has had a fall and fractured her wrist. She has been seen by the same orthopedic surgeon who saw Li Leng and he has reset the wrist. It is in a cast and it is healing well. Please do pray for complete healing for her too.
