A Remarkable Recovery

A remarkable recovery for Paul! Last week he had to go for surgery to remove a 2cm growth in his thymus gland. What's so remarkable is that he was in hospital for only 2 nights - one night at high dependency and one night in normal ward. It was  done expeditiously in 2 hours by keyhole. Advanced surgical procedures can indeed minimize trauma and speed recovery. We are thankful for our country's health facilities.
Paul is almost back to normal and has even started to drive.
He is conscious not to overstrain since the "insides" have been incised. So more rest and no heavy carriers for the time being.

We are very grateful to the Lord for the early detection and complete expulsion. Truly, it is His grace that sees us through this episode.

Our Reflections:

1) We have again experienced God's grace in a close and personal way.
2) We are unfazed by this episode because God has already strengthened our hearts to face head-on something like this.
"God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." Psalm 73:26
3) We are assured and confident of His faithfulness through everything big or small; everything bad or good.
4) We see His goodness and  providence in the early detection and quick recovery.
5) We have been made stronger - "in quietness and trust is your strength" Isaiah 30:15
6) Any apprehension or fear was banished swiftly by God's grace.
7) We cannot and must not waste the days God gives to us. "Teach us to number our days aright that we may gain a heart of wisdom." Psalm 90:12
8) May our GOD be glorified in all circumstances.

It is good to hear of Paul's quick recovery and of your continued assurance of God's grace in your life. Can I assume that all is going well with you, also?

Thanks Sandy! We're really happy with Paul's progress.
I am in reasonably good form too, I was able to do some "caregiving", like driving Paul to the hospital and being with him to give cheer.
I'll be posting an update on my recent medical review.
